The old hotel “Zum Hirschen” in Salzburg is being renovated and supplemented with a modern wooden building. The new quarter is expected to open in early 2024. As part of the renovation, a new corporate design is being created by Studio Bruch, that preserves the historic character of the hotel at its core while adding fresh, playful colors.

The architects wanted to showcase the deer, which has a long tradition in the history of the hotel, in a modern way. I created two paper masks, inspired by the new colors of the corporate design, which abstractly and playfully capture the theme.
